3P salad

It’s not disgusting, I vouch for that. Don’t look away yet, OK?

First things first what are the 3 Ps? Pomegranate, paneer and peanuts. Simple and extremely wonderful to eat. The pomegranate’s juicy and sweet flavours along with the paneer’s milky ones combine and give you a party in your mouth. That’s right. Add some peanuts for crunch and you have quite a filling snack. (And healthy too!)

Ingredients

Pomegranate – 1

Paneer – 100 gms

Peanuts – a handful

Coriander/cilantro leaves – a handful

Vinegar – 1 tbsp

Honey (optional) – 1 tsp

Salt and pepper – to taste

Method

Remove the seeds from the pomegranate by cutting it into half and tapping the back with a knife. Or you can do what I did and ask someone else to remove the seeds for you. (It’s called micro managing.) Put them in a bowl. Take paneer and cut it into small pieces or crumble it and add to the pomegranate. Cut coriander and toss into the salad. Meanwhile, mix honey, vinegar, salt and pepper and pour it on top. Add peanuts before serving to retain the crunch. Tadaa!
